SYF has been a steadfast supporter of Care Station’s Back-to-School project, an initiative running for numerous years and previously supported by Sabrina herself. This project aims to provide essential school supplies and shoes to children in primary sections of identified schools in rural areas. The selection of the schools and the most deserving students was done with the assistance of the Grama Niladhari, Divisional Secretary, and Principals, ensuring inclusivity across different areas and faiths.

In 2023, SYF supported Care Station by providing school supply packs to 112 students at several schools: Sri Medhananda Vidyalaya (Colombo 15), Tamil Vidyalaya (Mannar), Muslim Vidyalaya (Mannar) and Holy Rosary Church (Colombo 2). Each pack included necessary items to help the children in their educational journey.

Continuing this commitment in 2024, SYF once again backed Care Station’s annual Back-to-School initiative by contributing to the provision of 90 school packs to students at Nallakuddiyaru Government Muslim Mixed School in Trincomalee. This year, the support extended to 45 primary and 45 secondary grade students, ensuring they had the backpacks, books, and stationery needed to start the new academic year.
