First founded in 1959, Peter Weerasekera Children’s Home has provided a loving, safe and home environment for many young children. It is home to children of all ages up to 18 years of age.  The home provides accommodation, healthy meals, beautiful gardens and a loving environment. All children at the home receive a good education and vocational training for some. Many children have completed their secondary school and gone on to university both in Sri Lanka and overseas.

The Peter Weerasekera Children’s Home relies on private donations and is a registered charity. SYF donated essential medicines during the economic crisis, stationary for school and clothing for the children during 2022.
