Revive Bundala, was a project initiated by Sabrina and was a cause that was particularly close to her heart. On the second anniversary of her passing, we were proud to continue her legacy by collaborating with EFL Global Goodness to complete the final phase of this project. 

Located on the Southern Coast of Sri Lanka, Bundala National Park is a renowned haven for birds, becoming the first wetland in the country to be declared a Ramsar site. In 2005, UNESCO further recognized its ecological importance by designating it a biosphere reserve, making it the fourth in Sri Lanka.

EFL’s ambitious goal to plant 125,000 trees in Bundala National Park over five years was not only met but exceeded with a remarkable achievement of 133,000+ trees.

This project was also special as SYF involved volunteers for the first time. A heartfelt thank you to the sixteen dedicated volunteers who participated, playing a crucial role towards the restoration of the  park’s natural beauty and biodiversity and making a meaningful impact in honour of Sabrina’s vision.
