The “Yahapath Jeewitha Project,” a collaborative effort between SYF and the Merci Lanka Youth Guild, was launched on May 27th, 2023, with the aim of enhancing the well-being of underprivileged communities in Sri Lanka. 

This initiative focuses on distributing one million vegetable plants to individuals and families, promoting organic planting practices. By empowering communities through home gardening, the project seeks to foster self-sufficiency, improve nutrition, and enhance environmental sustainability. Ultimately, “Yahapath Jeewitha” strives to uplift individuals and families, enabling them to grow their own food and contribute to a greener, healthier Sri Lanka.
